The company develops Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that converts thousands of data streams into real-time 3D command and control centers, bringing autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to military applications.
The Senior Technical Program Manager for Mathematical Software and Algorithms oversees the development, execution, and delivery of Battlespace Awareness software for critical defense programs. This role ensures software meets all technical, functional, and business requirements. Battlespace Awareness software services comprise advanced algorithms for sense-making and decision-making at tactical timelines.
Key responsibilities include:
**Project Leadership & Strategy**: Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans covering feature development, testing, validation, deployment, and monitoring. Establish clear objectives and deliverables aligned with program needs.
**Technical Expertise**: Maintain deep understanding of underlying algorithms and software interfaces for battle management, threat prediction, tracking, and classification. Ensure relevant services integrate effectively with the larger C2 system. Stay updated on latest techniques and work with subject matter experts to incorporate innovations.
**Documentation & Process Improvement**: Ensure comprehensive documentation for technical specifications, user manuals, and project reports. Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes.
**Release Management**: Oversee planning and execution of software release processes, ensuring smooth and efficient deployment. Verify all releases meet defined quality standards.
**Stakeholder Communication**: Serve as primary point of contact for project-related communications internally and externally. Regularly update stakeholders on status, risks, and milestones.
**Resource Allocation**: Assess and allocate necessary resources including personnel, software, and hardware. Monitor utilization and adjust to avoid bottlenecks.
**Risk Management**: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies with subject matter experts. Regularly review and update risk management plans.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work with other divisions to ensure software supports program priorities and meets integration requirements. Facilitate communication between Battlespace Awareness business line and stakeholders.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Extensive project management experience, preferably in software development
- Demonstrable understanding of optimization, applied probability, and AI/ML technology
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and tight deadlines
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Familiarity with materiel leadership or mission partners within Army Air & Missile Defense, USMC Ground Based Air Defense, SOCOM, DHS CBP, or allied defense organizations
- Working knowledge of counter-UAS and air surveillance competitive landscape
- Experience working on or alongside teams developing mathematical software such as optimization solvers, estimation engines, simulation frameworks, or applied probability models
