Salary: USD 143,000 - 191,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to oversee the development and delivery of Battlespace Awareness software for critical military programs. This role bridges technical depth and program leadership, requiring someone with strong software development expertise—particularly in optimization and estimation algorithms—combined with proven ability to manage complex, multi-team projects and diverse stakeholders. You will serve as the linchpin ensuring software development aligns with program objectives and meets aggressive timelines. Key responsibilities include: **Project Leadership & Strategy**: Develop and maintain detailed execution plans covering feature development, testing, validation, deployment, and monitoring. Establish clear objectives and deliverables aligned with program needs. **Technical Expertise**: Maintain deep understanding of underlying algorithms and software interfaces for battle management, threat prediction, tracking, and classification. Ensure effective integration with the larger C2 system. Stay current on latest techniques and work with subject matter experts to incorporate innovations. **Release Management**: Oversee planning and execution of software release processes, ensuring smooth deployment and adherence to quality standards before release. **Stakeholder Communication**: Serve as primary point of contact for all project communications—internally across teams and externally with stakeholders. Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and milestone reports. **Resource Allocation**: Assess and allocate personnel, software, and hardware resources. Monitor utilization and adjust to prevent bottlenecks. **Risk Management**: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies with subject matter experts. Regularly review and update risk management plans. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work across divisions and departments to ensure software supports program priorities and meets integration requirements. Facilitate communication between Battlespace Awareness business line and other stakeholders. **Documentation & Process Improvement**: Maintain comprehensive project documentation including technical specifications and user manuals. Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field - Extensive project management experience, preferably in software development - Demonstrable understanding of optimization, applied probability, and AI/ML technology - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities - Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Ability to manage high-pressure situations and tight deadlines - Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance **Preferred Qualifications:** - Familiarity with materiel leadership or mission partners within Army Air & Missile Defense, USMC Ground Based Air Defense, SOCOM, DHS CBP, or allied defense organizations - Working knowledge of counter-UAS and air surveillance competitive landscape - Experience working on or alongside teams developing mathematical software (optimization solvers, estimation engines, simulation frameworks, applied probability models) Note: Transcripts are requested as part of the early application process to assess academic background and technical/analytical abilities.
