SpaceX is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner to support the Launch Vehicle Electronic Systems program. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that directly enables SpaceX's ambitious production growth and mission to enable human life on Mars. You will own end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution for assigned electronic systems and components, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams. Key responsibilities include: • Develop and execute sourcing strategies with metrics tracking and results visibility across the full supply chain lifecycle • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), lead times, and inventory levels (including spares) to prevent production shortages • Facilitate technical discussions, make-vs-buy decisions, new product introductions, and should-cost modeling to optimize purchase orders • Conduct risk management analysis incorporating past performance, demand/supply dynamics, and lead time stack-ups from component to integrated launch vehicle • Optimize logistics, manufacturing, quality, ordering, and refurbishment/reusability planning for owned parts • Lead supplier facility visits to identify and leverage capabilities aligned with cost, quality, and delivery goals • Champion commercial and quality initiatives to improve supplier performance and execute strategic sourcing vision • Serve as the go-to resource for engineering, supply chain, production, and build reliability teams on sourcing strategies, NPI plans, logistics optimization, and lead time solutions • Build cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery targets • Proactively communicate critical supply issues to SpaceX management and engineering • Conduct design-for-manufacturability reviews with supplier quality and engineering teams • Execute value engineering projects to improve part quality and reduce costs • Manage supplier bid-lists, mitigate sole/single-source risk, and ensure supply continuity • Develop and maintain strong internal and external supplier relationships • Place purchase orders, diagnose PO discrepancies, and resolve invoice issues You will see the direct impact of your work as assemblies you plan integrate into actual launch vehicles.
