Shield AI, a venture-backed defense-tech company, is seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to lead the development of state-of-the-art electrical systems for BlueSky fixed-wing aircraft products. You will define elegant, high-performance computing, sensing, communication, and power systems that support Shield AI's autonomous aircraft platforms.
You will contribute to and lead multiple product design cycles involving cross-functional collaboration with Logic, Electrical, Mechanical, and Software engineering teams. This role requires someone with a demonstrated track record of extreme ownership, delivering outstanding outcomes, and successfully shipping products through complete development cycles. You will proactively identify opportunities for improvement within hardware development projects, proposing and implementing innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, quality, and aircraft reliability.

Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience; 8+ years of industry experience as an Electrical Engineer; strong technical fundamentals; demonstrated ability to navigate complex development cycles, overcome obstacles, and deliver high-quality solutions under deadline pressure; proven track record of being a trustworthy, high-standards teammate who demonstrates kindness and extreme ownership.
