As a Senior Software Engineer on the Hardware team, you will develop and maintain software solutions that integrate Dialpad's cloud communication platform with traditional hardware devices. You'll work on VoIP device integrations including IP phones, SIP adapters, ATA adapters, and DECT base stations, designing features for device management, provisioning, activation, and control within the UI.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain software solutions and integrations for VoIP devices and hardware endpoints
- Design and implement features for device management, provisioning, activation, and UI control
- Troubleshoot production and customer-related device issues
- Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests to ensure software robustness
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality standards
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Work closely with QA throughout the feature development lifecycle
This role reports to the Hardware Engineering Manager and is based in Dialpad's Vancouver office with hybrid flexibility. You'll be contributing directly to high-impact projects that drive critical business strategies, combining traditional hardware solutions with cutting-edge cloud communication technology.
