Snowflake's Customer Experience Engineering team is expanding and seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build intelligent data applications that provide diagnostic insights and technical guidance for customers facing issues. The role focuses on developing features that reduce friction points and enable customers to resolve problems faster, leveraging both structured and unstructured data sources.
You will lead and drive projects across the full stack, including Java and Python services hosted in Kubernetes and Snowpark Container Services. Key responsibilities include promoting cross-functional collaboration with product management and design teams, delivering features requiring coordination with partner teams, contributing to product vision and team planning, diagnosing and implementing solutions to technical problems, and mentoring junior engineers.
The ideal candidate brings a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent, with 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience. You should have deep expertise in modern application design architecture, API design patterns, performance optimization, and scalability. Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, or GoLang is required, with bonus points for multiple languages. You'll demonstrate strong software engineering fundamentals including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation, along with excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills in cloud environments.
Demonstrated technical leadership—such as serving as an architect or tech lead on high-impact projects—is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills, genuine enthusiasm for building great software, and a commitment to continuous learning round out the profile. You'll work in a fast-moving, dynamic environment where low-ego collaboration and experimental thinking are valued.
