In this role, you will develop containerized microservices for a distributed, multi-tenant system that processes real-time data, events, and network telemetry from multiple public clouds. Your work will provide customers with real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to identify and minimize cloud risk.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement cloud security services, defending your architecture before peers and delivering production-quality implementations
- Mentor junior engineers, new graduates, and interns to help them grow as engineers
- Write primarily in Go, working with data pipelines using SQL and other interfaces; leverage Kubernetes for service infrastructure
- Own critical features and subsystems across the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements clarification through successful customer deployment
- Own operational aspects of the system, ensuring you understand real-world challenges and can write more supportable software
- Ensure code quality through early developer testing and functional/integration testing
- Partner with Product Management to refine requirements that exceed customer expectations
- Develop deep understanding of fundamental customer problems through stakeholder and peer interaction
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (Master's degree a plus)
- 4+ years building distributed and scalable software systems
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP at the API/programming level
- Experience delivering containerized services on Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Go and SQL
- REST API client experience
- General TCP/IP networking knowledge and Unix/Linux programming environment experience
- Networking and security controls experience is a plus
Desired skills include CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible. This position requires 5 on-site days per week at Sunnyvale headquarters and involves access to U.S. export-controlled technology.
