GoodData.AI is building an AI-native analytics platform that helps companies transform data into governed, agentic, and embeddable decision-making experiences. The platform is built around a headless semantic layer and an analytics-as-code approach, enabling development teams to build, automate, and govern analytics using CI/CD, version control, and automated testing.
You will join a product-oriented Analytical Stack team collaborating closely with a dedicated Product Manager, Architect, and QA to solve real customer problems and deliver impactful features. The team values ownership and responsibility, with engineers taking end-to-end ownership of their work and the freedom to experiment and innovate.
The backend is primarily developed in Python (with types) and Kotlin, organized as modular microservices handling orchestration, integration, and data processing. The stack leverages Kubernetes for deployment and technologies like Apache Arrow, DuckDB, Pandas, and Polars for high-performance data processing. Rust is increasingly adopted for performance-critical components.
You should have a robust computer science background with strong object-oriented programming experience, a passion for clean software architecture, and expertise in distributed systems and data processing. You thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments, take initiative proactively, and are enthusiastic about learning new technologies. Strong English communication skills and a focus on technical excellence and code quality are essential. You demonstrate strong ownership while remaining open to constructive feedback.
Nice-to-have skills include working knowledge of Apache Arrow and other open-source data technologies, plus Python or Kotlin experience. The role offers flexibility to work remote, hybrid, or fully onsite from the Brno or Prague offices.
