SingleStore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Aura AI Platform team. You will design, build, and operate the distributed infrastructure that powers customer workloads—including Notebooks, Jobs, Apps, AI Agents, and Model-serving—on top of SingleStore across multiple regions and clouds.
In this role, you'll own services managing container pools, resource scaling, routing, RBAC, billing, observability, and secure network access between clusters. You'll design and maintain the platform powering both internal and customer-facing intelligent services, leading complex cross-functional technical initiatives from conception through deployment while mentoring other engineers.
You'll work closely with product managers, designers, customers, and engineers to deliver high-quality experiences. You'll drive the team's engineering standards, championing best practices in system design, code quality, testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable scaling. You'll share on-call responsibilities and proactively improve reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of the cloud infrastructure.
Required: 4+ years on a SaaS product, experience with distributed systems (Golang, Python, or Rust), Kubernetes and containerized services, intellectual curiosity about business-impacting issues, and strong communication skills with mentoring passion. Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred: Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, GCP), background building developer platforms, ML platforms, or serverless/container execution environments, React frontend experience, and prior mentoring or technical project leadership.
