WelbeHealth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to modernize and scale technology within a growing healthcare organization serving vulnerable seniors. This is a hands-on role combining individual contribution with collaborative ownership across the full software development lifecycle—from requirements discovery and architecture through development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
You will work under Architecture and Development Management, partnering closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, data architects, IT&S, Solutions Architecture, Security, Application Management, Infrastructure, and Customer Service teams. Key responsibilities include:
• Adhering to WelbeHealth's Agile DevOps processes for requirements capture, design, construction, QA, version control, deployment, and change management
• Ensuring features meet PCI and HIPAA compliance requirements; participating in requirements discovery and usability sessions with end users, product owners, and designers
• Implementing comprehensive unit, functional, and automated testing coverage before launch; conducting peer code and design reviews
• Developing design patterns and standards; rewriting and re-engineering legacy applications using the Microsoft tech stack
• Creating documentation of current software state and historical process accounts
• Researching and communicating new design patterns and technologies for team adoption
• Providing ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements including monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 10 years of object-oriented software development and maintenance using C#, .NET Core, Razor Pages, or similar languages; React.js UI experience. Hands-on expertise with NoSQL databases (Azure Cosmos DB), REST APIs, and Azure Cloud services including API Apps, Logic Apps, and Functions. Experience writing automated test cases using NUnit. Understanding of Release Management principles and structured deployment environments preferred. Microsoft solutions certifications in solutions architecture are preferred.
