Salary: USD 151,300 - 201,700 / annual
ClassPass, part of the Playlist ecosystem (which includes Mindbody), is building a platform for intentional living that connects people with fitness, wellness, and lifestyle experiences. As a Senior Android Engineer, you'll be a key member of a cross-functional team creating new features for the ClassPass mobile apps.
You'll work on a large, modular codebase that's been in development for over a decade, architecting it for the next phase of growth. The role emphasizes shipping early and often, collaborating closely with product and design teams, and maintaining a bias for action and simplicity. You'll be responsible for building robust, user-friendly apps with clear separation of concerns across UI, business logic, and data layers.
Key responsibilities include providing leadership and mentorship to junior engineers through code reviews, technical pairing, and discussions; writing clear technical documentation; staying current with industry trends and sharing knowledge with the team; and driving process improvements. You'll have a track record of shipping successful Android apps to the Google Play Store and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
The tech stack centers on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android development. Flutter experience is a plus but not required. You'll work in a collaborative environment that values feedback, iteration, and thoughtful engineering practices. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building at scale, mentoring others, and taking ownership of both technical and organizational improvements.
