You will join the AI Platform team as a Senior AI Engineer, responsible for architecting and leading the execution of core AI capabilities that power the platform. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on the frontier of applied AI with an emphasis on shipping production systems rapidly.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end execution and delivery of AI-native products from prototype to scalable production services
- Architect, build, and productionize core AI platform components including LLMs and surrounding ecosystem (vector databases, prompt tuning), agentic frameworks, and core agent capabilities (MCP, cross-platform tool use, web browsing, computer use)
- Enforce technical discipline and operational excellence across all AI products
- Rapidly iterate on AI products based on performance metrics and user feedback
- Lead evaluation and adoption of new AI technologies and frameworks to keep the company at the industry frontier
- Partner with product managers and engineering teams to translate strategic goals into technical realities, abstracting AI complexity for rapid iteration
You will see projects through to completion, raise the bar for execution, and maintain a relentless focus on shipping with a strong bias for action.
Requirements:
- Extensive professional experience in backend software engineering with expertise in Python, Golang, gRPC, AWS, and Kubernetes
- Proven track record of owning and shipping complex, production-grade systems
- Proven experience shipping and maintaining AI-native products or features, or demonstrable passion through significant personal projects in AI
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent experience
- Right to work in the United Kingdom from day one (visa sponsorship not available)
Preferred qualifications:
- Specific experience with LLMs and agentic systems
- Hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM ecosystem technologies such as Databricks, Langchain, or MLFlow
- Advanced understanding of probabilistic systems underpinning modern LLMs
- Experience building AI products in accuracy-sensitive domains such as finance
