Rula is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build foundational AI agent capabilities for their mental healthcare platform. Sitting on the Platform Experience Team, you will design, implement, and maintain core infrastructure components that enable agentic development across engineering teams. This role combines deep technical work with developer relations—you'll drive AI enablement, training, and shared tooling across the organization, guiding and upskilling engineering teams on modern AI development practices.
You'll work on designing and implementing agent frameworks, LLM integrations, and custom AI-based systems that scale across the company. The role requires strong technical design and architecture skills, with a focus on developer experience and enabling other engineers to build with AI tools effectively.
Required: 5+ years delivering scalable production systems, strong hands-on experience with agentic coding tools and LLM integrations, proven ability to guide and train engineering teams, and demonstrated problem-solving and technical process improvement skills.
Preferred: 2+ years in a mature engineering organization, hands-on agent framework or custom LLM system design, modern cloud and CI/CD experience, and data literacy for metrics analysis and architectural decisions.
