Salary: USD 134,000 - 209,000 / annual

Addepar is a global data and AI platform serving 1,400+ firms managing nearly $9 trillion in assets across 60 countries. The Advisor Experience team is building bespoke solutions for financial advisors, starting with a new secure messaging product. As Senior Software Engineer with frontend emphasis, you will be the primary owner of the team's user interface layer. You'll craft modern, performant, and intuitive experiences that financial advisors rely on daily. Your responsibilities include leading frontend architecture decisions, building and maintaining component systems, and collaborating closely with Product Design to translate complex advisor workflows into elegant, accessible interfaces. While your primary impact is frontend-focused, you'll work across the full stack as needed to deliver complete features and integrate with backend services and APIs. Key responsibilities: - Lead frontend development for the Advisor Experience Secure Messaging product, building rich, performant user interfaces using modern web frameworks - Design and maintain scalable frontend architecture, including component libraries, state management patterns, and client-side data layer integration - Partner closely with Product Design to translate wireframes and prototypes into polished, accessible interfaces - Integrate frontend experiences with backend APIs and services, collaborating with backend engineers to define optimal API contracts - Champion frontend best practices including accessibility, performance optimization, responsive design, and automated testing Requirements: - B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with most focused on frontend development - Deep experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Svelte, Vue, or similar) and understanding of how they work under the hood; Ember.js migration experience is a strong plus - Experience building and maintaining component libraries, design systems, or shared UI infrastructure - Comfortable navigating backend codebases and reading/contributing to server-side code in Java, Node.js, or similar - Strong intuition for frontend performance and ability to diagnose and resolve issues across rendering and bundling pipeline - Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows - Experience with real-time data, messaging infrastructure, or rich interactive experiences (web sockets, streaming APIs) is a plus - Background or strong interest in fintech, wealth management, or financial advisor workflows is a plus - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship
