iSpot.tv is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join its engineering team in Bellevue. The company operates at massive scale in a high-performance AWS environment, processing thousands of servers and large streams of media metadata for the advertising industry. As a Senior SDE, you will own entire technical domains and serve as a foundational pillar of the engineering team. The role emphasizes an AI-native mindset—viewing AI not as a novelty but as a core component of the development lifecycle. You'll contribute to mission-critical data evolution across Creative, Audience, and Outcomes pillars. Key responsibilities include: **Technical Excellence & Domain Ownership**: Design extensible, testable codebases for multiple teams. Provide prescriptive code reviews that establish company-wide style guidelines. Maintain high quality standards, develop CI/CD automation architecture, and implement secure deployment strategies for large-scale, high-risk projects. **AI-Driven Productivity**: Lead adoption of AI technologies to enhance team efficiency. Mentor teammates on AI tooling through pairing, demos, and documentation. Pioneer critical technologies and bring creative solutions to complex, large-scale problems. **Operational Excellence & Data Strategy**: Propose domain measurement solutions and lead root cause analysis for complex, multi-domain incidents. Proactively reduce operational toil by applying platform engineering mindset. Build internal networks to improve organizational speed and remove obstacles. Drive cost-optimization strategies, balancing technical excellence with business value. **Leadership & Collaboration**: Work cross-functionally to align stakeholders with project vision. Mentor less experienced engineers and coach adoption of AI-first mindset. Navigate ambiguity and resolve conflicts to reach strategic milestones. Required qualifications include significant software development experience for shareable features across multiple projects, proven ability to lead small-to-mid-sized technical initiatives, and architectural leadership skills including redesigning legacy services for reliability and operability. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
