Toku is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure that enables engineering teams to develop and deploy software with speed, security, and reliability. You will work end-to-end on infrastructure initiatives, making architectural decisions with high autonomy while collaborating closely with engineering teams to eliminate friction and build scalable platforms. Key responsibilities include designing resilient, observable systems using Kubernetes, Terraform, and monitoring tools like Datadog; automating deployment, operation, and monitoring processes; leading technical infrastructure initiatives from conception through execution; and providing technical guidance to other engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship. You will also participate in hiring and help define technical standards and engineering practices. Required qualifications: 5+ years as a Software Engineer designing and operating cloud infrastructure on GCP or AWS; proven experience leading technical projects and influencing architecture decisions autonomously in high-complexity environments; strong communication skills for technical ideas with internal teams and external stakeholders; hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production; Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent; solid knowledge of networking, databases, distributed systems, and observability; experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.); software development in Python, Go, or similar languages; Git and CI/CD pipeline experience; and ability to analyze trade-offs between simplicity, cost, scalability, and execution speed. Desirable experience includes starting as a Software Engineer and evolving into infrastructure/SRE roles; proven track record in startups or fast-moving tech companies; building internal platforms that improve engineering productivity; and leading high-impact technical initiatives or mentoring efforts. The role requires full-time commitment with 50% in-office presence at Santiago headquarters. The company values autonomous problem-solvers who understand end-to-end systems, are curious and proactive, and aren't afraid to experiment and challenge the status quo. They seek candidates committed to continuous learning and improvement, and encourage sharing creative solutions and perspectives.
