Instructure is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Budapest. You will partner with engineering teams to automate and optimize service availability, scalability, performance, monitoring, and alerting across their SaaS platform. Your responsibilities will include developing software to reduce operational toil, building and maintaining internal platforms and services that act as force multipliers for engineering teams, and developing methodologies for iteratively deploying Instructure's cloud-based architecture. You will work on resilient, self-scaling systems using a modern stack including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and Go. You will also participate in on-call rotation and push the boundaries of cloud automation with hands-on AWS experience.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Desire for ownership and passion for problem-solving and learning
- Experience managing 24/7 SaaS platforms with high uptime requirements
- Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred, or Google Cloud/Microsoft Azure)
- Programming experience in at least one modern language (Python, Go, TypeScript/Node.js, Java, or Ruby)
- Experience with containers (Docker) or container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, Mesos)
- Deep understanding of configuration management, automation, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet)
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery exposure (Jenkins, git, Argo, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeDeploy, etc.)
- Open, team-oriented approach with broad range of skills and interests
- Strong English communication skills
