As a Senior Security Engineer in Enterprise Security, you will build, operate, and maintain Samsara's core security infrastructure in close collaboration with a global security engineering team. This role focuses on modern security principles across corporate infrastructure, emphasizing low-friction solutions developed in partnership with engineering, IT, and security teams. Key responsibilities include: - Provide influence and leadership over the Enterprise Security roadmap, balancing near-term and long-term business impact with technical considerations - Build automated alerting and response capabilities for detecting potentially malicious activity in production environments - Design and maintain enterprise security tools and workflows from scratch - Write clear documentation and runbooks for enterprise security processes - Partner with engineering teams to triage and support remediation of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations - Mentor junior security engineers to develop domain knowledge, tool-specific skills, and communication abilities - Assist Security Operations during investigations as a technical subject matter expert - Champion Samsara's cultural principles as the company scales globally You bring 4+ years of enterprise security experience with demonstrated impact, deep expertise in enterprise security engineering best practices (particularly SASE tools like Zscaler), and strong Python scripting skills for building internal tools and automations. You have hands-on experience building, integrating, and maintaining enterprise security tools, with the ability to independently assess security problem severity and business impact. You're passionate about teaching, supporting team members, and building security into company processes.
