RingCentral is seeking a Senior SecOps Infrastructure Engineer to join its Security Operations division and strengthen the security posture of its AI-powered communications platform. The role focuses on maintaining resilience across a massive, multi-cloud ecosystem handling billions of minutes of traffic daily.
Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing cloud defense systems (WAF, DDoS protection, IDS/EDR/XDR/CDR) across global production environments. You will identify and remediate cloud misconfigurations and policy violations, lead security validation through DDoS drills and penetration testing, and collaborate with NetOps and Engineering/SRE teams to implement secure operational best practices. The role includes incident response and SOC L2/L3 support, participating in security alert investigations, root cause analysis, and post-incident hardening. You will also participate in an on-call rotation supporting 200+ engineering and SRE teams.
Required qualifications include 3+ years in Security/SecOps or SOC environments with hands-on multi-cloud expertise (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI). You need solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, Active Directory, and Kubernetes security. Proven experience managing Enterprise Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and EDR/XDR platforms is essential, along with understanding of attacker behavior, OWASP Top 10, lateral movement, and privilege escalation.
Nice-to-have skills include red teaming or offensive security background, Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform/Ansible), scripting proficiency (Python/Bash), and relevant certifications (OSCP, OSWE, CCNA/CCNP, cloud/Kubernetes security).
The position requires on-site presence 4 days per week at the Sofia office to support effective collaboration.
