This Director role leads IonQ's Federal Partnerships & Channel team, managing strategic relationships with Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs), Value Added Resellers (VARs), and Defense Industrial Base (DIB) partners. You will serve as the primary point of contact and strategic liaison for major contractors including ManTech, CACI, LEIDOS, Booz Allen Hamilton, SAIC, Peraton, and L3Harris.
Key responsibilities include developing and owning account plans, joint partnership strategies, and business reviews tied to federal program opportunities across DoD, Intelligence Community, and civilian agency programs. You will identify and qualify new business opportunities within FSI and DIB ecosystems, track partner-influenced revenue against quarterly and annual targets, and collaborate with internal capture, proposal, and business development teams on competitive procurements, RFPs, and task orders across IDIQ/GWAC vehicles.
You will educate and advise partners on IonQ's quantum technology portfolio, articulating technical value propositions within the context of agency missions. Cross-functional collaboration with Field Engineering, Product, Legal, and Finance teams ensures solutions meet customer needs and regulatory/clearance requirements. The role also involves developing partner enablement programs, training materials, and operational processes to support partner success.
This is a hybrid position based in the Washington, DC metro area with up to 25% travel. The ideal candidate is a natural relationship-builder and strategic thinker with deep experience in federal markets, systems integration, and defense contracting.
