Reliable Robotics is building safety-enhancing automated aviation systems to make air transportation safer and more convenient. The company is developing phased array radar technology for Detect and Avoid systems in commercial aviation. As a Senior Radar Test Engineer, you will own the testing and calibration of next-generation Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) radar systems. Your responsibilities include: - Design and execution of complex RF test systems for digital, RF, and antenna circuit cards - Engineering and production testing of AESA radar components - Development and management of test and calibration equipment in collaboration with the radar hardware design team - Cross-functional collaboration with radar, mechanical, and systems engineering teams - Support for radar system integration, lab testing, and aircraft flight testing - Data collection and system checkout on test flights - Certification of radar systems to DO-160 environmental, DO-254 design assurance, and FCC standards Required qualifications include a BS in electrical engineering (or equivalent), 5+ years of hands-on RF testing and antenna range wireless testing experience, ability to design complex RF test systems, experience writing and executing functional and environmental test plans, and proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in science or electrical engineering, flight testing experience with advanced RF systems, avionics certification system architecture and requirements management experience, RF circuit design experience up to 12GHz, and DO-160/DO-254 hardware design assurance experience. This role requires U.S. person status or export control authorization due to the nature of the technology.
