Hinge Health is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Computer Vision User Experience team in Montreal. This hybrid role (3 days/week in office) focuses on driving testing strategy and quality standards for computer vision–powered guided movement experiences in a healthcare platform serving 20+ million people.
In the first 3 months, you'll build deep understanding of Hinge Health's computer vision pipelines and mobile app surfaces, partner with engineers to define testing for new features, and create comprehensive test plans covering unit, integration, end-to-end, automation, and manual testing.
By 6 months, you'll expand automated test coverage across critical member flows, improve and maintain test automation frameworks, and deepen collaboration with CV researchers, product, and design teams to embed quality into the design phase.
Within the first year, you'll serve as a quality leader for the Computer Vision User Experience domain, architect validation plans for novel CV capabilities and complex real-time interactions, and mentor teammates to elevate quality practices across the organization.
You are a hands-on quality engineer comfortable leading testing strategy independently for complex, user-facing features. You navigate ambiguity well, break down CV and mobile experiences into clear validation strategies, and communicate effectively about risks and tradeoffs with engineers, product managers, designers, and researchers. You embody a learn-it-all mindset, demonstrate hustle in de-risking releases, and lead through ownership of quality.
Required: 3+ years testing end-user applications (manual and automated), 2+ years mobile app testing (React Native, iOS, Android), and experience creating test plans across multiple testing levels.
Preferred: test automation framework experience, 2+ years comprehensive test planning, 3+ years as senior/lead QA partner, Python/JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency, experience with interactive mobile experiences (games, AR/VR), computer vision testing experience, and a degree in Software Engineering or related field.
Hinge Health uses AI and computer vision to scale healthcare delivery for musculoskeletal conditions, partnering with 60+ health plans and employers. The company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Montreal and Bangalore.
