Saronic Technologies develops autonomous surface vessels for maritime defense. This is a new Senior Program Scheduler role within the Field Quality Services organization, which supports the deployed fleet through customer vessel support, retrofits, fleet inspections, corrective actions, and investigations.
You will serve as the coordination layer connecting Quality, Engineering, Mission Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and field teams. Your core responsibilities span three areas:
Planning and Scheduling: Build and maintain the Field Quality master schedule. Coordinate vessel availability for inspections, repairs, retrofits, and verification activities. Plan for customer vessel returns, recommissioning, retrofit events, deployments, and major fleet activities. Spot schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and dependencies before they become blockers.
Tracking and Follow-Through: Track Field Quality projects, milestones, deliverables, owners, and due dates. Maintain visibility of NOEs (Notices of Explanation), Service Bulletins, fleet actions, inspections, and corrective actions through closure. Track IRB (In-Service Review Board) and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) actions so owners and commitments stay visible. Escalate schedule risks and overdue actions to leadership.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate schedules across Quality, Mission Operations, Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Programs, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Warranty/Customer Support, and field and retrofit teams. Serve as the central coordination point for Field Quality execution while technical ownership remains with Quality or Engineering leads.
Reporting and Operating Rhythm: Produce weekly program status and schedule reports for Field Quality leadership. Keep high-priority field issues and their status visible. Support resource planning and forecasting as Field Quality workload grows. Help establish repeatable workflows, meeting cadences, and management systems for the organization.
You will work closely with the Field Quality Manager (who owns strategy and priorities), Senior Quality Engineers (who own technical investigations and closure), and Field Quality Engineers/Inspectors (who execute field activities). This is a role on a team still being built, so you will help define the operating rhythm, tools, and management systems the organization scales on.
Success means a single, trusted master schedule that leadership relies on; inspection and verification opportunities captured when vessels are available; IRB/RCCA actions and Service Bulletins closed on time with aging actions visible and escalated early; and a repeatable weekly operating rhythm the team can scale as the deployed fleet grows.
Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations management, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of program scheduling, project control, or program coordination experience in aerospace, defense, maritime, automotive, or similar hardware/manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining integrated master schedules, including dependency and critical-path management
- Proficiency with scheduling and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Jira/Linear) and Excel or Google Sheets
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional commitments to closure without direct authority
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including status reporting to leadership
- Ability to manage many concurrent activities with shifting priorities
- U.S. Person / ITAR eligibility requirement
Preferred:
- Experience supporting field service, fleet sustainment, MRO, warranty, or retrofit programs
- Familiarity with quality processes such as RCCA/8D, nonconformance and corrective action systems, MRB/IRB, and service bulletins
- Experience with vessel, vehicle, or aircraft maintenance and availability planning
- Experience standing up processes, dashboards, or operating cadences in a growing organization
- PMP, PMI-SP, or similar certification
Travel up to 10% to field sites and customer locations. Ability to support off-hours or weekend activities during vessel availability windows, if applicable.
