Infleqtion is seeking a Senior Program Manager of Execution & Staffing Operations within the Quantum Sensing Solutions (QSS) group. This is a multi-faceted leadership role responsible for growing a multidisciplinary technical organization across a rapidly expanding portfolio of business areas.
The role focuses on identifying and resolving execution risks in staffing operations, driving hiring and talent acquisition to meet execution demands, supporting program managers with staffing operations on new awards, and implementing best practices for engineering performance management. The successful candidate will work across diverse engineering and science disciplines including mechanical, opto-mechanical, electrical, systems, controls, firmware/software, test, reliability, manufacturing engineering, and physics.
Key responsibilities include owning functional resource planning and allocation across multiple programs; driving technical hiring from requisition through hire; aligning engineering capacity, capabilities, priorities, and schedules with current and future program pipelines; identifying capability gaps and developing build/hire/partner/outsource strategies; anticipating future engineering capability requirements; resolving cross-program resource conflicts; developing and monitoring engineering performance indicators; building and leading a high-performing multidisciplinary engineering organization; defining organizational structure and technical leadership requirements; recruiting and developing engineers, scientists, technical leaders, and subject-matter experts; translating strategic objectives into executable resourced plans; and defining scalable staffing execution processes.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or related technical discipline; 8+ years as a leader or program manager in hardware applied research and development; 8+ years as a functional leader of engineering and/or research scientist talent; 5+ years hiring for deep technical talent; demonstrated ability to lead engineers and scientists on technically challenging problems across competing priorities; strong understanding of engineering development processes (requirements, architecture, design, integration, verification, validation, technical risk management); experience building and scaling deep technical teams; strong resource-planning and organizational-development capabilities; and excellent communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Desired qualifications include a Master's degree or Ph.D. in engineering or scientific discipline and 10+ years as a leader or program manager in hardware applied research and development in aerospace & defense or U.S. Government R&D.
