Reliable Robotics is developing automated aviation systems and safety-enhancing technology for commercial aviation. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on Radar, you will join the Mechanical Engineering team to design and develop next-generation Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) radar hardware.
You will own the RF and standard electronics packaging design, including mechanical CAD and electrical interconnection architecture. Key responsibilities include designing RF enclosures and test systems, managing tolerance and assembly analysis, and collaborating closely with Radar Electrical Engineers on ECAD integration. You will also support certification efforts for AESA Radar and avionics hardware to DO-160 environmental standards, DO-254 design assurance, and FCC certification requirements.
Required expertise includes advanced CAD modeling (NX preferred), mastery of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis, configuration management tools (Teamcenter preferred), and familiarity with DO-160 environmental requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Preferred qualifications include avionics and radar packaging experience, thermal analysis capability (both analytical and FEA), design for manufacturability and volume production knowledge, project ownership experience, and hands-on assembly skills per aerospace standards.
