Voyager Technologies seeks a Senior Manager for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Data Exploitation to lead the development of cutting-edge automated target recognition software for moving and stationary objects in SAR imagery. You will manage a team of radar subject-matter experts and machine learning engineers, overseeing program delivery for U.S. government and other defense customers.
You bring 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and possess a strong background in physics or electrical engineering to understand SAR phenomenology. You have real-world experience with deep neural networks and proven executive communication skills. Your responsibilities include:
- Leading radar and ML engineering teams to deliver on schedule, within budget, and exceeding technical performance measures
- Writing clear, technically solid proposals and supporting business development
- Creating physics simulations of various phenomenologies and developing methods to account for bias between simulated and real-world data
- Mentoring team members, providing actionable feedback, and conducting performance evaluations
- Building productive relationships with government and commercial partners
- Communicating complex technical content to external customers and internal stakeholders across organizational levels
You must hold an active DoD Top Secret security clearance and demonstrate deep familiarity with SAR radar sensing, signal processing, and phenomenology. The role requires flexibility to shift among leadership, technical, communication, and stakeholder relationship tasks. This position offers considerable responsibility and direct impact on national security initiatives.
