Salary: USD 217,000 - 270,000 / annual

Zipline is the world's largest autonomous drone delivery service, operating on four continents and completing millions of deliveries of blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products. The company has flown over 140 million commercial autonomous miles and makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds. In this role, you will lead the software engineering team responsible for Marketplace Management Tools—the internal software that Zipline teams use to run, understand, and continuously improve the marketplace. You will transform complex operational workflows into simple, durable products that enable day-to-day marketplace health management, rapid issue resolution, and scaling of the delivery experience. This is a hands-on product-engineering leadership position, working closely with Product and Operations teams to make strategic bets and deliver meaningful marketplace impact. The role does not own the core platform or partner integrations. Key responsibilities include: - Lead, coach, and grow an exceptional team of software engineers - Own the roadmap and execution for marketplace management tools, services, and products - Build a beloved marketplace application - Partner closely with Product to bring clarity and enable high-velocity execution - Work with technical leads to improve software architecture for efficient scaling You will operate in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where you solve real-world logistics challenges at scale. REQUIREMENTS: - Track record of leading software engineering teams that ship operationally complex, customer-facing software - Strong technical judgment and ability to guide architecture and execution so a lean team can accomplish significant work - Proven track record of hiring, coaching, and developing exceptional engineers - Excellent product sense, prioritization skills, and cross-functional partnership abilities - Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating clarity from chaos
