6sense is seeking a Senior Manager of Security Engineering to lead the security engineering organization protecting its AI-enabled, cloud-native SaaS platform. This role reports to the CISO and owns three integrated teams across the United States and India: Vulnerability Operations, Infrastructure/Cloud Security, and Application/Product Security.
The leader will build a unified security engineering operating model with clear ownership, service expectations, and measurable outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
**Organization & People Leadership**: Lead, coach, and develop managers and engineers across distributed teams. Establish role clarity, career paths, succession planning, and consistent performance expectations. Create an operating cadence supporting asynchronous execution, reliable cross-region handoffs, and shared accountability across time zones.
**AI & Product Security**: Own security strategy for AI-enabled product capabilities from design through production. Address AI-specific risks including prompt injection, insecure tool/agent access, sensitive-data exposure, model integrity, and third-party dependencies. Partner with AI/ML, Product, and Engineering teams to define secure patterns for models, agents, RAG systems, APIs, and data access controls. Advance product security practices including secure SDLC, code/design review, application security testing, and coordinated vulnerability disclosure.
**Vulnerability Operations**: Own end-to-end vulnerability discovery, prioritization, remediation governance, and validation across applications, cloud infrastructure, containers, endpoints, and third-party components. Move beyond severity-only prioritization to incorporate exploitability, internet exposure, asset criticality, data sensitivity, and threat intelligence. Improve remediation speed through automation, clear SLOs, and transparent reporting. Establish coverage for software supply chain risk including open-source dependencies, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
**Infrastructure & Cloud Security**: Own preventive and detective security guardrails for AWS environment, infrastructure-as-code, containers, identity and access management, network boundaries, secrets management, logging, and data services.
The role combines strategic leadership with credible technical judgment, balancing hands-on technical engagement with people leadership, program ownership, stakeholder influence, and executive-level risk communication. Partner across Product, Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Data, AI/ML, Security Operations, Privacy, GRC, and Enterprise Technology teams to embed security into planning and delivery.
