Conga is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop and optimize machine learning solutions for their commercial operations platform. You will design, implement, and fine-tune ML functionality for performance, scalability, and efficiency in production environments. The role balances technical implementation with project leadership, owning specific components in ML solutions while leading small to medium-sized initiatives.
Key responsibilities include: designing and implementing ML solutions (25% of effort), optimizing models for production performance and scalability; collaborating with engineers on integration and infrastructure, assisting with platform upgrades and automated testing (25%); creating detailed technical documentation to ensure clarity and continuity (25%); providing technical support and training to Sales, Implementation, and Support teams; and actively participating in code reviews to maintain quality standards (10%).
You will work with data processing, feature engineering, model development, evaluation, and tuning. The role requires expertise in Python, ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, Scikit-learn, Spark ML), and cloud platforms (Azure, Databricks). Experience with Git, MLFlow, Spark, Pandas, distributed computing, and advanced ML/AI models (neural networks) is essential. Knowledge of software testing, benchmarking, CI/CD, model management, and data versioning is required.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience with at least 2+ years in data science, software development, or data engineering. A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent is required. Preferred qualifications include certifications in NLP, Recommender Systems, or Azure AI Engineer certification, plus strong understanding of AI concepts and responsible AI practices.
