Pendo's Business Systems team is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to own key IT infrastructure initiatives and drive operational excellence across the company's global office footprint. In this role, you will lead Okta administration as a core focus area, including SSO application implementation, onboarding/offboarding workflows, SCIM provisioning, and account lifecycle management. You'll build automations using tools like Workato, n8n, Okta Workflows, and APIs to eliminate manual work across IT operations, including user account creation, workflow orchestration, and tool integrations.
Day-to-day responsibilities include resolving helpdesk tickets, troubleshooting network issues, supporting A/V setup for meetings and events, and managing user provisioning and deprovisioning. You'll identify and implement infrastructure improvements to make systems more reliable, secure, and scalable. The role also involves managing Pendo's SaaS portfolio—Google Workspace, Atlassian, Slack, LastPass, Zoom—identifying rightsizing opportunities and reducing unnecessary spend. You'll collaborate with the team to enhance the employee Mac experience while supporting a primarily Mac fleet with some Windows devices.
You'll operate with high autonomy, partnering closely across the business to translate technical concepts into practical guidance for non-technical stakeholders. This is a builder's role: you identify gaps, shape solutions, and drive them forward rather than simply following instructions. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of hands-on IT engineering experience in a SaaS or technology company, deep Okta expertise, proficiency with automation platforms, strong macOS enterprise support experience, and active daily use of AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
