OCHO is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to maintain and build their front-end app suite. You will work in a highly collaborative team within the Product & Engineering vertical, building software of the highest quality while developing deep technical expertise in their products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product to spec out technical aspects of features from inception through delivery
- Strategize with key stakeholders on developing key business metrics, planning, and prioritization
- Own front-end feature development, ensuring tracking/analytics are instrumented and work meets acceptance criteria
- Continuously improve existing codebases by identifying refactoring and performance improvement opportunities
- Write acceptance, integration, and unit tests
- Create lasting architecture for current and future applications
- Mentor other engineers of all levels to help develop engineering leaders
- Collaborate with back-end engineers to influence API architecture for current and future systems
The role emphasizes high-quality software development, technical leadership through mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll have the opportunity to shape both product direction and engineering culture while working on high-traffic, public-facing applications.
Requirements:
- Experience with high-traffic public-facing websites
- Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Exceptional knowledge of React
- Strong knowledge of Redux, React Context API, and Hooks
- Exceptional knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS and HTML
- Significant experience with API service-based architectures, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL
- Experience writing tests at various layers using various JavaScript testing strategies
- Experience developing responsive web applications
- Experience building, deploying, and operating technical components of sizable complexity
- Track record of leading and creating environments where engineers produce their best work
