Salary: USD 215,000 - 300,000 / annual
Reliable Robotics is building safety-enhancing autonomous aviation systems to transform air transportation. As a Senior FPGA Verification Engineer on the Embedded Systems team, you will own the FPGA integration and test environment for multiple airborne products, including test benches, simulation, continuous integration, timing analysis, and build infrastructure.
You will develop DO-254 compliant processes for peer review and testing, qualify design and verification tools, and establish verification strategies for safe and dependable airborne electronic hardware. Your work directly enables aircraft product demonstrations, unlocks higher-level autonomy capabilities, and supports product certification and market delivery.
Key responsibilities include managing the complete FPGA verification lifecycle, implementing safety-critical design processes, and collaborating with a vertically integrated technology stack that extends from firmware through aircraft-level systems. You'll work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with engineers experienced in aerospace, robotics, and autonomous systems.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering (or equivalent); 8+ years of full-cycle electronics hardware development; professional expertise in FPGA design using industry-standard tools; strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred: Advanced degree; experience with safety-critical FPGA verification (DO-254 Level A/B); comfort with agile development; pragmatic, results-oriented approach.
The role is based in Mountain View, CA with approximately 10% travel. This position requires U.S. person status or export control authorization due to the nature of the technology.
