Relativity Space is building Terran R, a commercial launch vehicle designed to deliver payloads to orbit. The company combines advanced 3D printing manufacturing with aerospace engineering to accelerate rocket development and reduce costs.
The Integrated Performance team owns the holistic view of how Terran R comes together, ensuring every system on the vehicle and ground achieves ambitious performance objectives. This team works across the full launch system—from trajectory design and aerodynamics to reliability analysis—with direct influence on all phases of the product lifecycle, from conceptual design through post-flight data review. Team members engage hands-on with hardware and operations, with authority to drive meaningful programmatic change.
The Loads & Dynamics team, part of Integrated Performance, is responsible for digesting forcing functions and building models to produce loads for hardware owners and inform vehicle performance goals. This team works heavily with Aerodynamics, Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC), Propulsion, Structures, and Avionics to balance immediate hardware needs with updated analysis and modeling.
As a Senior Dynamics Engineer, you will develop random vibration and shock specifications, ensuring hardware across the vehicle is qualified to those specifications. You will own the dynamic loads for all hardware on Terran R from cradle-to-grave, working across multiple technical domains to solve complex multi-disciplinary problems. This role offers meaningful individual impact in a team structure large enough to support complex development yet small enough that contributors shape decisions and see their work come to life rapidly. You'll collaborate across teams, influence product decisions, and help define the culture at a critical inflection point where the vehicle is tangible and gaining momentum.
