Moody's is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - Data Engineering to join the Cybersecurity Data Management team in Bengaluru. This role focuses on building, operating, and optimizing security data platforms and pipelines that collect, transform, route, and analyze security event data across the enterprise.
You will serve as a subject matter expert for security data platforms, ensuring reliable, scalable, and optimized data collection and delivery across the cybersecurity ecosystem. Key responsibilities include administering and optimizing Splunk Cloud environments (indexes, data models, field extractions, permissions, licensing), managing Cribl Cloud configurations and pipelines for secure data ingestion and transformation, and designing onboarding processes for new data sources with accurate parsing, normalization, and enrichment.
You will build and maintain transformations and processing pipelines supporting detection engineering, dashboards, reporting, audit, and compliance. Working closely with cybersecurity stakeholders, you'll ensure security data is complete, reliable, and operationally aligned. You'll troubleshoot ingestion issues, data gaps, latency concerns, and pipeline failures; monitor platform health and performance metrics; and develop automation tooling using Python and JavaScript.
Required qualifications include 6-9 years of cybersecurity engineering, data engineering, or platform administration experience with hands-on expertise in security data platforms. You need strong experience administering Splunk Cloud, direct experience with Cribl Stream and Cribl Cloud, deep understanding of log formats and data enrichment practices, proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript, and experience with AWS infrastructure. A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field is required. Splunk certifications (Administrator, Architect, or related) are preferred.
