Snowflake is seeking a Senior Certification Development Program Manager to lead the SnowPro Certification program, designing and delivering technical certifications for a global audience of cloud data professionals. This hands-on role bridges technical implementation, psychometric exam development, and practical assessment architecture.
Key responsibilities include designing multi-modal assessments (lab-based practicals, micro-credentials, performance-based tasks) with automated scoring; recruiting and facilitating global Subject Matter Experts through exam development workshops including job task analyses, item writing, and standard-setting sessions; authoring and validating advanced scenario-based questions aligned with Snowflake platform updates and AI/ML features; ensuring editorial consistency and adherence to style standards; managing medium-to-large-scale exam development projects end-to-end using project management tools; partnering with psychometricians and vendors (e.g., Pearson) to monitor item performance and enforce exam security; overseeing localization and publishing workflows; driving exam launches with study guides, practice exams, and marketing content; and collaborating with Engineering, Product Marketing, and Technical Documentation to keep certification paths synchronized with platform releases.
Required qualifications: 6+ years in technical content development, certification design, assessment engineering, or IT training in enterprise software; 2+ years designing and building technical labs or hands-on environments for cloud/data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP); demonstrated success leading complex multi-stakeholder projects in fast-paced environments; Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Education, Statistics, or equivalent; exceptional ability to translate cloud architectural patterns into clear assessment objectives and editorial content.
Preferred: SnowPro Core or Advanced certification; direct hands-on experience with Snowflake AI Data Cloud including SQL/Python; experience with item banking platforms (Pearson ExamDeveloper) and QTI standards; familiarity with LLMs, AI/ML workflows, and agent building.
