GoodData.AI is a cloud-based business intelligence platform that combines AI with analytics to help companies provide intelligence to customers and partners. The platform operates in both public and private cloud environments, serving enterprises that need to turn raw data into business impact.
As a Backend Developer, you will be a core contributor to the platform's microservices architecture. Your primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining microservices written in Kotlin with Spring, designing and implementing scalable systems to handle complex data flows, and working with Python for automation and integration tasks. You'll work with Docker and Kubernetes daily—using docker-compose in development and Kubernetes in production environments.
You'll collaborate with the team to shape technical direction, establish processes, and define best practices. The role emphasizes clean, testable code following enterprise design patterns and test-driven development principles.
Required qualifications include proven experience with Kotlin/Java and Spring frameworks, strong understanding of software design patterns and enterprise application architecture, knowledge of SQL and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. You should demonstrate a commitment to clean code, testing best practices, and scalable system design.
Nice-to-have skills include AWS or other cloud platform experience, Python familiarity, advanced Kotlin expertise, and understanding of web technologies and protocols (HTTP, REST, gRPC).
