Iambic Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech company based in San Diego, is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to join its Discovery Chemistry team. The role focuses on executing high-throughput synthetic chemistry experiments and supporting compound library campaigns using Iambic's proprietary HTE (high-throughput experimentation) platform.
You will be responsible for executing parallel synthetic chemistry experiments, refining and standardizing company procedures to maximize success rates, and operating laboratory automation equipment including liquid handling robotics and analytical/purification systems. You'll collaborate with senior chemists and cross-functional teams (biology, compound management, AI/ML, software) to adapt bench-scale synthetic routes into automation-compatible, high-throughput processes. The role includes data recording and analysis using electronic lab notebooks, clear communication of results to project teams, and identifying process bottlenecks to improve efficiency.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment where you'll directly contribute to accelerating drug discovery programs. You'll work in Iambic's new state-of-the-art San Diego facility.
