In this Senior Analyst, Actuarial role, you will support actuarial functions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate new business opportunities. You will execute work assignments using actuarial and statistical methods, with a focus on underwriting and business development. The role includes participation in an actuarial study program designed to support you through your professional exams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting actuarial functions across the organization
- Evaluating new business opportunities using actuarial analysis
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on actuarial projects
- Executing actuarial and statistical analyses for underwriting and pricing
- Contributing to value-based care initiatives and CMS shared savings programs
- Performing Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare analysis
- Developing financial models and conducting data analysis
This is a hybrid role based in Chicago with flexibility to work from home while fulfilling in-person needs at the office, clinic, or for patient home visits. You will report to the Senior Director, Actuarial.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of actuarial or related analytical experience
- Experience in value-based care (preferred)
- Experience with CMS shared savings programs (strongly preferred)
- Experience in Commercial, Medicaid, or Medicare analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions and SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
