This role supports actuarial functions and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate new business opportunities.
As Senior Analyst, Actuarial, you will execute work assignments using actuarial and statistical methods, with a focus on underwriting and business evaluation. You'll work alongside a team dedicated to reducing emergency visits, improving patient outcomes, and helping people live fuller lives. The role includes an actuarial study program designed to support you through your professional exams.
This is a hybrid position based in Seattle, WA, offering flexibility to work from home while fulfilling in-person needs at the office, clinic, or patient home visits. You will report to the Senior Director, Actuarial.
Key responsibilities include supporting actuarial analyses, collaborating on new business opportunities, and applying statistical methods to healthcare data and underwriting decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, or related field
- Experience in value-based care (preferred)
- Experience with CMS shared savings programs (strongly preferred)
- Experience in Commercial, Medicaid, or Medicare analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel functions and SQL proficiency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
