Precision for Medicine is seeking a SQL Developer II to design, develop, and optimize data solutions that power client deliverables and internal products in the healthcare market access space. This role operates with minimal oversight, owning complex data pipelines, SQL development, and delivery execution while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and timeliness. You will spend most of your time working directly in Microsoft SQL Server, building scalable and maintainable datasets and processes that support analytics, applications, and client-facing solutions. The role collaborates closely with Product Delivery, Client Services, Engineering, and Product teams to translate requirements into performant and reliable data solutions. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining SQL-based data solutions, building and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for performance and scalability. You will develop and maintain ETL pipelines to integrate, transform, and validate large datasets, ensuring data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and quality checks. You'll translate business and client requirements into technical SQL solutions, own assigned workstreams, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight. Additional responsibilities include creating and maintaining clear documentation for data processes and SQL logic, supporting production systems and resolving data-related issues, identifying and implementing process improvements, and participating in code reviews and technical discussions. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience), 3-5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments, hands-on experience writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and data transformations, and experience building and maintaining ETL processes with large datasets. You should have strong proficiency in query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and performance troubleshooting, experience with data modeling and data quality checks, familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD concepts or similar tools, and excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong accountability, detail-oriented problem-solving, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
