Pennylane is a high-growth French fintech company that has raised €400M and serves over 900,000 SMEs and 6,000 accounting firms across Europe. The company provides innovative accounting and financial management software designed to help entrepreneurs and accountants reclaim time from repetitive tasks and focus on strategic decision-making.
As an Accounting Support Specialist, you will be a central point of contact between Pennylane's clients (business leaders, in-house accountants, and accounting firms) and the company's technical teams. You will investigate client issues, provide solutions, and escalate complex problems to engineering when needed. You will also support accountants in migrating their data to Pennylane and help clients maximize the platform's capabilities.
In your first three months, you will complete the Pennylane Academy training program, learn the product deeply, understand the company's vision and departments, and begin handling accounting-related support requests. You will learn to qualify requests using strong accounting principles and deliver fast, impactful solutions.
From months 4-6, you will gain autonomy, manage increasingly complex client requests, contribute to creating and updating help documentation, share accounting expertise with colleagues, and provide product feedback to the engineering team based on real customer usage patterns.
Longer term, you will become a product expert, identify efficiency improvements for your team, and have opportunities to evolve into account management, customer success, or implementation leadership roles.
You bring at least 3 years of accounting firm experience (ideally across multiple fiscal periods), a relevant accounting qualification (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS assistant de gestion PME-PMI, Master CCA, or equivalent), and comfort with innovative tools and technology. Direct experience advising business leaders is a plus. Familiarity with Pennylane is helpful but not required.
