Pennylane is a high-growth French fintech (€400M raised, backed by Sequoia) building financial management and accounting software for European SMEs and accounting firms. This role is a Accounting Support Specialist within the applicative and technical accounting support team.
You will be the central relay point between client business leaders, their in-house accountants, and accounting firms. You'll work directly with users daily to understand and resolve accounting and platform-related issues. Your responsibilities include investigating problems, providing solutions or escalating to technical teams, and helping accountants migrate data onto Pennylane.
In your first three months, you'll complete the Pennylane Academy, learn the product deeply, understand company vision and departments, and begin handling accounting-related support requests with guidance. You'll learn to qualify requests using strong accounting principles and deliver fast, impactful answers.
From months 4–6, you'll gain autonomy, manage increasingly complex client requests independently, contribute to creating and updating customer help resources, share accounting knowledge with teammates, and relay customer insights to the product team.
Longer term, you'll become a product expert, identify team efficiency improvements, and lead projects. Career paths include moving into more specialized support roles, account management, or customer implementation leadership.
Required: accounting background (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS assistant de gestion PME-PMI, Master CCA, or equivalent Bachelor); minimum 3 years in an accounting firm (ideally covering three full fiscal periods); direct experience working with business leaders is a plus; comfort with innovative tools and new technologies; strong problem-solving and autonomy; Pennylane product knowledge is a plus.
