Salary: USD 100,000 - 125,000 / annual

Agile Space Industries is a rapidly growing aerospace and propulsion company (40%+ YoY growth for three years) headquartered in Durango, Colorado, with operations in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Seattle, Washington. The company designs and manufactures propulsion systems for lunar landers, defense systems, and commercial spacecraft. You will serve as Specialist Project Manager III, leading mission-critical propulsion projects from early-stage development through qualification and full life-cycle support. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring direct involvement in next-generation hardware development for critical space missions. Key Responsibilities: - Independently lead large, complex, multi-disciplinary propulsion projects with tight schedules and significant technical risk - Serve as primary interface with internal leadership and external stakeholders/customers - Drive strategic alignment, technical prioritization, and multi-program coordination - Own a portfolio of propulsion subsystems or upgrades - Manage technical planning, schedule management, risk and issue mitigation, and cross-functional coordination - Track and report key performance metrics across multiple concurrent projects - Maintain alignment with program baselines and participate in formal program reviews - Contribute to governance processes in collaboration with the PMO - Influence decisions and gain cooperation from stakeholders across all organizational levels You will work with project management tools including Microsoft Project, Jira, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Agile or hybrid development frameworks. Success requires strong communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders, strategic thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems in a highly regulated aerospace environment. As an integral contributor during the company's growth stage, you are eligible to participate in the stock option plan, sharing directly in the value you help create (subject to executive review and approval). Requirements: - Minimum 8 years of relevant project or program management experience - Advanced knowledge of project and program management principles, methodologies, tools, and best practices - Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects with significant technical, financial, and organizational impact - Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, risk management, resource planning, scheduling, budgeting, and performance measurement - Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating activities across multiple departments and stakeholders - Expertise in Microsoft Project, Jira, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Agile or hybrid development methodologies - Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills - Ability to solve complex problems requiring investigation, analysis, strategic thinking, and creative solutions - Experience developing and improving operational processes, systems, and organizational practices Preferred Qualifications: - Aerospace, defense, propulsion, spacecraft, or other highly regulated engineering industry experience - Experience managing government, commercial space, or Department of Defense programs - Experience leading large-scale development programs involving complex technical integration - Demonstrated success implementing PMO process improvements and organizational change initiatives - Experience mentoring project managers and developing program management talent - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification - Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field - Master's degree with minimum 8 years of relevant experience (may substitute for bachelor's requirement)
