Fleek is building AI-native infrastructure for the global secondhand fashion marketplace. The company has saved 9 million items from landfill since 2022 and is backed by a16z, Y Combinator, and HV Capital. With the secondhand fashion market projected to reach $350B by 2027, Fleek operates a B2B marketplace and FleekSort, an AI model that grades, prices and categorizes secondhand items from photos.
You will lead new category expansion bets—new business lines each with potential to add £5M+ in GMV by opening new supply categories or sourcing geographies. Unlike typical marketplace launches, Fleek already owns the demand side; your role is supply-first: find and onboard suppliers, sell inventory into existing buyer demand, and validate unit economics quickly.
Key responsibilities include: running bets through defined gates with clear win/kill metrics; traveling to visit suppliers, graders and rag houses in target markets; onboarding brands, brokers and wholesalers and driving transactions on new inventory; making kill/scale decisions based on evidence; handling operational logistics (importer-of-record structures, duties, freight, last-mile); leveraging Fleek's agentic outreach and enrichment engine; and developing deep knowledge of how stock is graded, routed and priced across markets.
You'll work directly with founders and the commercial lead, close to the center of the company. This is a venture-builder role inside Fleek, not a traditional sales or account management position. You'll be measured on GMV within your first quarter and have the opportunity to scale into owning categories with supply, acquisition and ops teams building under you.
Fleek is a 200-person, post-Series B, hyper-growth company based in Shoreditch, East London (Commercial Street, E1). The culture is high-ownership, non-hierarchical, and fast-moving, with founder-led decision-making and strong opinions loosely held. The company operates a fully in-person culture with trust-based flexibility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Zero-to-one experience: you've built something from nothing as a founder, early employee, or person who started a new line inside an existing company; you operate without a playbook and don't wait for one
- Operator and commercial in one person: you build the machine and carry the number; you're not pure strategy or pure sales; you're comfortable being measured on GMV within your first quarter
- AI fluency: you work with agents and automations daily; you'd rather build a workflow than repeat a task
STRONG SIGNALS:
- Instinct for physical goods: understanding of inventory, margins and trading relationships, or experience in fashion, resale or marketplaces
- Deals you've structured yourself at any size that didn't exist before you wrote them
- Exposure to cross-border trade, logistics or supply chain operations
NICE TO HAVE:
- Direct experience in resale, surplus or secondary-market inventory
- Experience launching a new market, geography or product line from scratch
- Established networks in international sourcing markets
