ComboCurve is a cloud-based software platform serving the energy sector, specializing in asset evaluation, reservoir management, and forecasting. The company helps operators, engineers, and financial teams make faster, data-driven decisions through integrated analytics and real-time insights. You will own and grow ComboCurve's banking vertical, focusing on reserve-based lending (RBL) institutions. Banks rely on accurate, defensible reserve evaluations to set borrowing bases, manage credit risk, and navigate redetermination cycles—core use cases for ComboCurve's platform. Key responsibilities: - Serve as the primary commercial contact for existing bank clients, deepening adoption across engineering, credit, and portfolio teams while growing revenue through renewals, expansion, and new use cases. - Build targeted account plans for every RBL lender not yet a customer and run full sales cycles from initial outreach through contract signature. - Develop deep understanding of bank workflows and connect them to ComboCurve's value proposition. - Sell across multiple stakeholders: reservoir engineers, credit officers, relationship managers, senior energy lending executives, and procurement/compliance teams. - Conduct thorough discovery to inform technical demonstrations by the sales team and partner with Customer Success to ensure clients realize full platform value. - Represent ComboCurve at industry conferences, bank forums, and client visits; gather market feedback for the Product team. - Maintain accurate CRM documentation, forecast pipeline, and demonstrate transparency in sales methodology. You will report to the VP of Sales and attend weekly 1:1 meetings to discuss pipeline and forecast production. Requirements: - 3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, including selling software, data, or services to banks or other financial institutions. Must understand how banks evaluate, approve, and purchase solutions. - Working knowledge of reserve-based lending: borrowing bases, semi-annual redeterminations, price decks, reserve reports, hedging requirements, and covenants. Experience in or alongside an energy lending group is a strong plus. - Proven ability to build trust with engineers, credit officers, and executives. Existing network across energy lending groups is highly valued. - Experience managing and growing a book of enterprise accounts while running long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles simultaneously. - High degree of coachability; ability to absorb and apply feedback quickly. - High degree of curiosity; ability to understand customer context through effective questioning and listening. - Excellent work ethic and daily activity orientation. - Sales intelligence: ability to learn complex technical and financial concepts quickly and communicate them clearly.
