Fundamental is an AI company that has developed NEXUS, a Large Tabular Model (LTM) purpose-built for structured enterprise data. The company is backed by top-tier investors and trusted by Fortune 100 companies. As an AI Deployment Strategist, you own the end-to-end outcome of NEXUS deployments at enterprise customers. You are the bridge between the customer's business needs and the technical build, paired with a Forward Deployed Engineer who handles implementation while you own strategy, value definition, and adoption. Your week involves running discovery workshops with senior business leaders (VPs of Operations, data science teams), mapping their decision points to prediction problems, and qualifying data availability. You write use-case briefs that articulate the business question, prediction target, data sources, baseline, success KPIs, and customer owner. You define value before the build begins—translating model lift into dollars, hours, or risk reduction in CFO-friendly language—and validate it after deployment. You drive adoption by integrating models into customer workflows, training users, tracking usage, and removing blockers. You maintain a live roadmap per account, identify expansion opportunities, and hand qualified use cases to the Account Executive with business cases pre-written. You work closely with your Forward Deployed Engineer to unblock data access, stakeholder alignment, and priorities. You also carry customer patterns and learnings back to Product, Research, and leadership to build reusable playbooks. Travel is 50% or more of the time, with long customer days and on-site work expected. REQUIREMENTS: - 2–6 years in a customer or client-facing role with accountability for outcomes: consulting, technical sales, customer-facing data science, product management, founding, or early-stage operating roles - Technical curiosity with hands-on capability: comfortable working in Python or SQL notebooks, able to explain prediction problems and read backtests, and motivated to deepen technical knowledge - Strong communication and presence: ability to structure messy problems on a whiteboard, write crisp one-pagers, and command rooms of senior stakeholders - Demonstrated fast learning: evidence of picking up a domain or technology quickly and shipping or building something with it - Hunger and mobility: energized by travel, long customer days, and ambiguity - Team-first mindset: willing to take unglamorous tasks when they move the account forward NICE TO HAVE: - Deep domain expertise in energy, financial services, insurance, shipping, retail, or private equity - Prior exposure to applied ML, forecasting, or analytics products - Business fluency in a second language
