Varda Space Industries is accelerating commercial space infrastructure development, from in-orbit pharmaceutical processing to reliable reentry capsules. The company designs, builds, and operates W-Series vehicles in-house, including pharmaceutical processing payloads, capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses. As a Build Reliability Engineer, you will partner closely with design and manufacturing teams to scale production of spacecraft hardware. Your core responsibility is ensuring production processes yield verified, reliable hardware at rate. You will work across Build Reliability, Quality, Flight Reliability, and Mission Assurance functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with design engineering and manufacturing teams to create test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for all vehicle hardware
- Contain suspect or non-conforming product, providing guidance to quality inspectors, technicians, shop supervisors, and engineers
- Drive process improvements and reliability initiatives across production
- Support flight reliability and mission assurance activities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and standards
The ideal candidate is a capable, process-oriented, and systems-thinking engineer with experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or complex hardware production. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across teams, and taking ownership of reliability outcomes.
