Motif is an agent-native platform for building design. We are seeking a highly technical, customer-facing Solutions Engineer to drive initial implementation of Motif's Design product with customers, from pilot through full adoption.
In this role, you will own the customer implementation journey end-to-end. You'll conduct technical validation, deliver product demos, design custom architectures, build proof-of-concept solutions, manage deployment integration, and lead training sessions. Your core mission is to bridge Motif's technology with how customers actually work day-to-day in design, finding creative ways to drive adoption and real outcomes.
You'll work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Forward Deployed Engineering teams to ensure smooth adoption. You'll also contribute to building onboarding materials, training content, and provide direct feedback to Product Management to improve the customer experience. This is a highly visible, customer-obsessed role where you'll measure success by daily active usage growth and customer satisfaction.
This is not a remote position. You will be onsite at customer locations across NYC and beyond as needed, with significant travel expected. You'll have extensive face-time with customers and be embedded in their workflows.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of relevant experience with real time spent in an architecture practice
- Computational design expertise: Grasshopper, Python, Rhino on actual professional projects (not side experiments)
- Prior experience in a technical, customer-facing role with ownership of outcomes; adoption metrics matter as much as shipping
- Consultative communication style; you listen and guide customers rather than present at them
- Genuine passion for technology; you use AI tools constantly and have built AI agents yourself (not just theoretical knowledge)
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- BIM and Revit experience
- Hands-on experience with Design Technology software in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry
- Track record of driving adoption metrics like daily active usage
