Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM—AI agents that operate across the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. The company has raised $70M+ from top VCs including Kleiner Perkins, serves 1,500+ customers (Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, Rippling), and has tripled ARR annually for three consecutive years.
As a Solutions Engineer on the Commercial Sales team, you will own the full technical sales lifecycle across a portfolio of concurrent deals—from discovery through demo, trial execution, and close. You are the AE's partner in the trenches, responsible for the technical win, trial strategy, and serving as the intersection of sales, product, and customer success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct discovery that uncovers real business pain beneath feature requests and build technical narratives tied to executive-level outcomes
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact during trials, managing health scores, flagging risks early, and executing intervention plays
- Partner with AEs on deal strategy, shaping how and when Nooks is brought to the table
- Provide direct feedback from the field to product, translating trial portfolio patterns into actionable roadmap signal
- Contribute to SE playbook development, identifying bottlenecks, building automation, and codifying best practices
This is not a demo-focused role. SE-supported deals close at nearly 6x the rate of unsupported ones, and the function is one of the highest-leverage bets in the business. You'll inherit a function already outperforming targets and help raise the bar further.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience in a quota-carrying or technical sales role (AE, SE, or hybrid) with ownership of the pre-sale cycle—not post-sale implementation
- Sales-first instinct: treat trials like pipeline, obsess over win rates, know how to build urgency
- Ability to command a room of senior stakeholders (CRO, CTO, VP of Sales) and run business reviews independently
- Technical curiosity and logical instinct to understand how systems connect; drive to fill knowledge gaps independently
- Strong discovery orientation: ask "why is that a requirement?" before answering, build POV before prescribing solutions
- Bias toward action: iterate toward great rather than waiting for perfect; comfortable owning ambiguous, undocumented work
- Familiarity with enterprise sales methodology (MEDDIC/MEDDPICC or equivalent) is a strong plus
