Baselayer is an AI Risk Platform that automates merchant onboarding, underwriting, and fraud prevention for over 20% of US financial institutions. The company combines authoritative government data, AI agents for web analysis, and a network powered by millions of applications to prevent billions in merchant fraud and credit risk.
As a Solutions Engineer, you'll serve as a technical bridge between customers and Baselayer's engineering and product teams. Your primary responsibilities include:
• Technical Consultation: Understand customer requirements and design implementation strategies for identity verification solutions
• Implementation Support: Guide customers through API integrations and ensure successful product deployment
• Solution Design: Create technical documentation and implementation plans tailored to specific customer needs
• Product Demonstrations: Deliver technical demos showcasing Baselayer's capabilities to prospects and customers
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to align on customer needs and product roadmap
• Technical Documentation: Develop implementation guides and solution architectures for various customer scenarios
• Customer Training: Educate customers on Baselayer's products, APIs, and best practices
• Feedback Loop: Collect and communicate customer feedback to product and engineering teams to inform product development
• Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in identity verification and fintech
• Post-implementation Support: Provide ongoing technical guidance to ensure long-term customer success
You'll need 2+ years of experience in a technical role, product management, or customer-facing position. Fundamental knowledge of API concepts and web technologies is required. You should be detail-oriented, a natural problem-solver, adaptable, and highly collaborative.
Preferred qualifications include experience in solutions engineering, implementation, or technical customer success; basic coding skills in Python or JavaScript; familiarity with identity verification, KYC/KYB processes, or financial compliance; experience with fintech or financial institutions; and experience leading technical discovery calls, product demos, or implementation workshops.
